My belief in the power of grace has deepened over the years. I have come to understand the Divine in the intimate way the sacred moves within our lives and how deeply we need to rely upon faith and grace now more than ever.
What is grace? How does it work? One way to understand grace is that it is a mystical force, not an intellectual or physical power. As a rule, grace does not explode into your life in ways that are obvious. Usually, it is not until time passes, that you realize something slightly out of the ordinary has occurred. That something out of the ordinary can be subtle, such as the way in which you spontaneously step out of your comfort zone to assist a stranger, attend to the marginalized, offer a smile or words of encouragement.
Grace is a holy power message that comes into your life during those times when you are (consciously or unconsciously) vulnerable, frightened, confused, lonely, or in need of immediate direction. Grace empowers our capacity to make choices that we might prefer to avoid in our ordinary moments. Grace especially pours into us when we require assistance to better the lives of other people, or even one person.
Grace flows into us in ways that we are incapable of imagining, invisible and holy.

Loving One, you give us all that we need, you fill us with your love, light and grace. We pray for an end to all wars and conflicts, especially in Palestine and Israel and the Ukraine and Russia.
Loving One, you give us faith that all will be well. We pray that we all may be one.
Loving One, you give us your love unconditionally. We pray for those who we find it difficult to love.
Loving One, you give us strength in difficult times. We pray for those who are suffering and do not have basic necessities for themselves and their families.
Loving One, you give us your peace. We pray for all those who are angry and suffering from separation.
Loving One, you heal our bodies, minds and souls. We pray for all those suffering from illnesses.

Prayer for Grace
Hover over me, Go. Fill in the grace-gaps for me when I am incapable of compassion and kindness. Help me live in harmony with nature, to do no harm to my fellow creatures. And give me the grace of courage to do more for others each day and to worry less about what tomorrow might bring. May the power of grace transform us in endless and blessed ways. (May 2024 bring our world grace-filled peace) Amen.
