“Spring Is A Love Song To The Earth”

“UNLESS someone like you

cares a whole awful lot,

nothing is going to get better.

It's not – The Lorax

Welcome tonight as we look forward to Springtime and the rebirthing of the earth. Tonight we will celebrate the vernal equinox-the time exactly halfway between the solstices, the time that the sun shines directly on the equator and night and day are of equal length. It is Earth's balance-the only day when we could balance eggs on the table.Be completely still for a moment and feel the balance.

Song: “A Love Song To the World.” Paul McCartney,

Meditation:

And then all that has divided us will merge

And then compassion will be wedded to power

And then softness will come to world that is harsh and unkind

And then both men and women will be gentle

And then both women and men will be strong

And then no person wil be subject to another's will

And then all will be free and varied

And then greed of some will give way to the needs of many

And then all will share equally in the Earth's abundance

And then  all will cherish life's creatures.

Judy Chicago

We share all of these prayers in the hand of the Holy One.

Amen

Closing  Prayer:

We wait in anticipation, asking the Divine Spirit of the Universe to bless each of us here and those who are yet to come. To fill the pathways of our lives with divine light and love for all who will walk on them.We stand in expectation of the dawning of a new season. Amen
