Opening Song: Creation Calls–Are You Listening by Brian Doerksen

https://youtu.be/ZemQ8K-RpUY

First Reflection: Instead

Instead of processing to the altar

to receive communion

I call this earth my altar

and my intimacy with her creatures

the bread and wine of my life.

Instead of saying "I am not worthy"

I say let me live up to the challenge

TO BE,

let me remember I am One with What Is,

I do not need redemption,

nothing is wrong.

Instead of calling for help from a faraway God,

I sit in silence and feel the roar

of creation churning in my cells.

Instead of waiting for a priest to come

anointing the passages of life and death

I don the vestments of service and love,

I stand with others in a circle of trust.

We raise the chalice in a toast to earth,

we make the water holy with our humble hands,

we baptize ourselves as redeemers of peace,

servants of unity.

Instead of waiting for the world to turn,

we become its revolution

we spin new webs, build new cogs

with our feet in today

and our minds on tomorrow.

Instead of the old,

we bow to the Now

and turning within,

we create the new.

Silence and Reflection Time

Intentions

God of all creation, warm our heart when we become coldhearted. Allow

your love and your light to warm and renew our heart. We praise you

for your creation, for the plants, the trees, and the animals. May our

heart be warm and open to your presence around us in the plants, trees,

and animals.

God of all creation, we remember how Jesus rose from the dead, bringing light and life to darkness and death. We celebrate the sunrise as we celebrate the

new life that we have in your love. May our heart be open to your Spirit

as we live in your new life.

God of all creation we look forward to living in your warmth as

we experience your presence in the people we encounter this day. Warm

us with your love. Renew our hearts and bring us new life through

your love.

God of all creation, we ask for your protection as storms enter our

relationships, our understanding of ourselves, and our understanding of

others. Great Spirit calm the storms in our life. Give us strength to endure trials,

and give us peace when we experience turmoil and strife.

We ask you, God of all creation, to be with us tonight. We ask for

your protection, we seek your wisdom, we enjoy your presence in others

and in nature. Amen,

Second Reflection: We Who Are Alive Today (adapted by Dennis)

We who are alive today are the eyes and ears,

the hands and feet of the Creative Force.

We are Thought Incarnate, Word made Flesh, Love materialized.

We are the consciousness of the earth:

the universe knowing itself, seeing itself, singing to itself.

We are prophets of a new time, makers of a new myth,

where our Source dwells not on some heavenly throne

but in the very breath of living things: among us and within us.

As the Cosmos multiplies and expands forever outward

so does it expand forever inward evolving us into beings of higher consciousness.

We who are alive today came here with a purpose, are in service

to a mission: to extend mercy, to bring forth justice, to re-member

ourselves and converge as one.

We are creating tomorrow with our thoughts and words.

We are shaping ourselves and families, our communities and cities,

our cultures and civilizations by what we do and failed to do.

We are ascending into our potential, evolving into our God-ness,

co-creating the Whole that is the sum of our parts.

We who are alive today; let us sing out that the heaven we seek

is already around us, that wherever we look, the Holy One is there,

looking right back.

No matter what storms batter and buffet us, let us not lose heart,

for we are One with All and life holds us firmly in the palm of its hand.
